What to do if a patient is deceased
Tip:
Updating a patient's status to Deceased is for reference purposes only. We recommend taking further actions as necessary, such as reviewing any Bookings or Patient Connect programs so that automated messages or communications to the patient are not sent.
When a patient is deceased, you can update the status of their patient file to "Deceased":
- On the Demographic tab, select
Edit Patient
at the bottom of the screen - In the "Status" drop-down menu, select Deceased and enter a date/time if known
- Select
Save & Close
- Select
Save Patient
