How to add a new patient

A new patient can be added via multiple methods:

  • In the Demographics screen, select the New Patient   button.
  • In the Find Patient screen (Shortcut: Ctrl + F), select the New Patient   button.
  • Use the Shortcut: Alt + N  to open the 'Add a New Patient' screen.

Adding a patient

  1. Enter the new patient's First Name, Surname, and select Add .
    • If the patient exists already, choose the Select patient from list button.
    • If the patient does not exist, the 'New Patient Details' screen will pop-up.

  1. Enter patient details, and select Add .

Please note that, as a minimum, Given Name, Family Name, and Sex are fields which are required to be populated when creating a patient.

  1. Select Save Patient.
