How to Set Up Printers
Most reports in HealthTrack do not have a set printer. They print to the computer's Windows default printer, or open a preview you print from. If a report is going to the wrong printer, it is usually going to that computer's Windows default printer, so check the Windows default first.
Only a small, fixed set of jobs have a printer you configure inside HealthTrack:
- Prescriptions
- Distribution Coversheet
- Patient Connect
- Label Writer (patient and chart labels)
- Request Label Writer (pathology request labels)

You set these on the desktop under File > Printer Setup. That screen shows the current computer's name and one row for each of the five jobs, each with a button to choose the printer. There is a greyed-out Reports row - this is intentional, because ordinary reports use the Windows default printer instead.
Printer choices are saved per workstation (against each computer). Setting a printer on one computer does not change it on another.
If you use Citrix or remote desktop
On Citrix or a remote desktop, printers are redirected from your local session and can disappear between sessions. When the saved printer is not available, HealthTrack warns you and stops rather than printing to the wrong place.
If this happens, open File > Printer Setup and re-select the printer for the affected job. You may need to do this again after a session change.
