How to sms or email a patient

Use the Send SMS or Send Email buttons in a the patient's Demographics screen to send an SMS or email directly. Sent and received messages are stored and can be reviewed at any time.


Send an SMS to a patient

The patient must have a mobile number recorded in their file. HealthTrack sends the SMS immediately on confirmation.

  1. Open the patient's record and go to the Demographics tab.
  2. In the Patient Information section, click Send SMS.

  1. The HealthTrack Message dialog opens. Type your message in the message field.

  1. Click Send and Close.

Send an email to a patient

The patient must have an email address recorded in their file so that the email can be sent.

  1. In the Patient Information section of the patient's Demographic screen, select the Send Email button.
  2. A pop-up will display for selection of the preferred mail app.

  1. Type the email in the selected app and click Send.
