Managing patients that requested an earlier Booking
When a patient already has an appointment booked but would like to be seen sooner if an earlier time becomes available, the Request Earlier check-box in the booking form can be ticked. For instructions on how to do so, please see below:
- Create a booking for the patient.

- In the Booking Form, tick the 'Request Earlier' check-box to add the patient to a 'wait list'.

Finding Patients that requested an earlier Booking
By ticking the Request Earlier check-box, when an appointment is cancelled and a new slot opens up, staff can quickly prioritise which patients may want to be contacted to fill the available time. This allows practices to manage cancellations more efficiently while offering earlier appointments to patients who have requested them.
- Navigate to Practice Wide > Bookings.
- In the All Patient Bookings screen, select the Requested Earlier button.
