How to make a booking
There are several ways to make bookings in HealthTrack. We recommend making a booking from the Diary.
- Open HealthTrack and navigate to the diary screen
- Select the date for the booking
- Colour-coded booking templates that indicate available booking times
- You can make bookings in templated spots or in the blue section where templates don't exist
New to the diary itself? For a full overview of the diary views, navigation and layout, see How to use the diary.
Create a Booking from a Template
- Double-click on a templated spot to create a booking
- The booking form will auto-fill with information from the template
- Add any extra information, such as patient referrals and notes
For details on how to add a referral to a booking, review our How to select a referral for a Booking article.
- Click Save and Close to finalise the booking
- The booking will automatically appear in the diary

Create a Booking Without a Template
- Double-click in any space on the diary to create a booking without a template
- The booking form will only have basic information (patient, date, time, location, room) pre-filled
It is not recommended to create a booking from the patient's file, unless you are sure that all booking details are correct. The recommended approach is to book via templates in the Diary, so it is confirmed that there are no clashes.
Create a Booking from a Patient's File
- From a patient's file, click on the Bookings tab and use the New Booking button at the bottom of the screen
- Manually enter all necessary information before saving and closing
- After creating the booking, right-click and select 'View Booking in Diary' to check for clashes
- Click anywhere on the diary to remove the highlight
