How to link booking types to related Clinical Records
Booking types can be linked to related Clinical Record types shown in the patient's Clinical Records tab. This ensures that new clinical records are correctly associated with the relevant booking, based on both the clinical record type and the booking type.
What linking does
- When you link a booking type to one or more clinical record types, HealthTrack uses that link through its Occasion of Service system.
- When a clinical record of a linked type is created for a patient with a booking of that type, the record is associated with that booking. This keeps the clinical record attached to the right visit, so it shows against the correct booking in the patient's Clinical Records tab.
- This link decides how a new clinical record is matched to a booking. It does not create a clinical record on its own when a booking changes status (for example, when a patient is marked as arrived).
Link a booking type to clinical record types
- Navigate to Admin > Diary & Bookings > Add/Modify Booking Types.
- Select the booking type and select Edit.
- In the Other Settings tab, select Change next to 'Linked Clinical Records'.

- In the Select Clinical Records dialog, choose the related clinical record or records and select Select.

- Select Save.
HealthTrack needs to be restarted for the change to take effect.
