Accessing a patient's My Health Record
A patient's My Health Record is available from the Additional tab of their Demographics screen, alongside their IHI.

Open a patient's My Health Record
- Open the patient's Demographics.
- Select the Additional tab.
- Click Open My Health Record.
Access codes and Emergency Access
Patients control who can access their My Health Record through the myGov Consumer Portal. A patient may revoke access to your organisation, or set an access code that must be entered before their record can be viewed.

If an access code is required, an Access code field will appear along with an Emergency Access option.
- If the patient has provided an access code, enter it and click Open.
- If the patient cannot provide a code and access is required for care, select Emergency Access. Emergency Access is audited and should be used only when clinically necessary.
